Job Description and Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist with a strong talent acquisition background to join our Portland, OR team.  In this role, you’ll support HR strategies with a people-centered approach, partnering with managers and front-line leaders to support performance management, employee relations, compliance, and engagement and retention initiatives. In addition, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to hiring teams, executing recruitment strategies, managing candidate pipelines.

  • Consult with managers, frontline leaders and employees, providing HR guidance and ensuring compliance with all applicable employment laws, regulations and internal policies
  • Actively support and reinforce company culture grounded in our core values
  • Guide managers in identifying, documenting, and addressing performance gaps while strengthening engagement, productivity, and retention
  • Address employee relations concerns promptly, conduct investigations, and partner with leadership on resolutions
  • Support HR programs (performance reviews, engagement and retention initiatives, personal development plans)
  • Support the talent acquisition process, including recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified job applicants
  • Build sustainable talent pipelines through proactive external engagement aligned to business workforce needs
  • Source candidates using job boards, trade schools, universities, career fairs, industry associations, and social media

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered
  • 5+ years progressive HR experience with minimum 2 years as an HR Generalist
  • 2 years full cycle recruiting experience including sourcing, screening, selection, offer and negotiation and onboarding
  • 1+ year experience of resolving employeerelationsmatters and leading investigations 
  • Professional in Human Resources® (HRCI PHR®) or Society of Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM CP®) certification, preferred
  • Previousmanufacturing industryexperience, preferred
  • Broad knowledge of human resourcespractices includingcompensation,performancemanagement,leadership development,employeerelations,changemanagementandorganizationaldevelopment
