Volt is immediately hiring Bilingual HR Generalist for a local leading manufacturing company in Santee, CA.

As a Bilingual HR Generalist you will:

Job Description

  • Day to Day Responsibilities
  • Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices comply with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Facilitate employee onboarding, terminations, and offboarding processes.
  • Monitor and evaluate new hire progress during the first 90 days of employment.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, company events, and performance award programs.
  • Communicate company policies and procedures to employees and managers while providing guidance and support.
  • Conduct fair, thorough, and compliant investigations into employee complaints, workplace concerns, and policy violations.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers regarding employee performance, feedback, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate and administer annual performance review programs for 60+ employees.
  • Develop and deliver employee training programs, including harassment prevention, workplace safety, policy compliance, and professional development.
  • Foster positive employee relations by mediating workplace conflicts and resolving employee concerns.
  • Maintain confidential employee records and HR documentation.
  • Draft, review, and update HR documents, performance improvement plans, leave documentation, and employee communications.
  • Manage payroll records, employee deductions, benefits administration, and timekeeping compliance.
  • Coordinate healthcare enrollments, renewals, CalSavers administration, EDD Work Share programs, Paid Family Leave, and State Disability Insurance documentation.
  • Administer workers' compensation claims, injury reporting, investigations, and follow-up activities.
  • Coordinate workplace safety initiatives, accident investigations, and annual employee wellness programs.
  • Collaborate with management on HR projects and continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide bilingual HR support, onboarding assistance, safety training, and policy translations for Spanish-speaking employees.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

This is a full time opportunity. 5 days a week. 8+ hours per day.

The ideal candidate will have: 

  • Required Skills & Qualifications
    • 3+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience.
    • Strong knowledge of California labor laws and employment regulations.
    • Experience managing employee relations, investigations, and performance management programs.
    • Experience with recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
    • Knowledge of payroll administration, benefits enrollment, and leave management.
    • Experience administering workers' compensation claims and workplace injury reporting.
    • Ability to maintain confidential employee records and sensitive information.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/payroll systems.
    • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Preferred Skills & Qualifications
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
    • Experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments.
    • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety programs.
    • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent).
    • Experience with CalSavers, E-Verify, FMLA, PFL, SDI, and EDD Work Share programs.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00AM to 3:30PM

Pay Rate: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
