POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resources Generalist manages the day-to-day HR operations, acting as a liaison between on-site manufacturing employees and centralized HR shared services. Responsible for recruiting, employee relations, and compliance within regulated environment to support both staff and management. Provides administrative support to the human resources function as needed, and to other departments within the organization. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred or high school diploma and at least 5 years equivalent experience.  SHRM-CP or PHR a plus.

 

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a prior human resources role, preferably in manufacturing.

  • Physical Requirements:
    • Sitting: Extended periods at a desk or workstation.
    • Standing and Walking: Frequent movement within the office.
    • Lifting and Carrying: Light to moderate lifting of office materials, supplies, etc.

Additional tasks may require reaching, manual dexterity, and visual acuity.

 

INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS

External: PEOs, insurance representatives, legal counsel, industry, professional and community groups

Internal: Sales Personnel, Marketing, Product Development, Customer Service, Medical Education, Clinical Research, Finance, Compliance, Quality, Regulatory, Human Resources, and Medacta International Personnel.

Travel requirements: Travel of up to 5% may be required, domestic.

Extent of Confidential Information: Employee personal information, including social security numbers, workplace injury reports, background checks, health-related information, pay levels and salary information, etc. 

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

  • Post and recruit, if necessary for open positions, including phone screening and coordinating candidate interaction with hiring managers.
  • Set up interviews and book travel, as necessary.
  • Coordinate requisition forms with hiring managers and Medacta International.
  • Coordinate monthly onboarding for new hires; including sending out invites to presenters and creating packets.
  • Create offer letters and incentive plans for new and existing employees.
  • Order American Express and Business cards for new and existing employees
  • Work closely with IT to coordinate equipment for new and existing employees.
  • Update monthly Org Chart
  • Coordinate offboarding for employees including conducting exit interviews and paperwork.  Also, finding trends in exit interviews and summarizing and presenting results to Director of Human Resources
  • Working closely with PEO to complete annual EEO-1 report.
  • Coordinate and track leave of absence including FMLA, workers compensation claims, STD/LTD claims with PEO.
  • Submit employee changes into the HRIS system and ensure Payroll is aware of changes.
  • Approve Medacta intranet requests for employees and agents.
  • Completes monthly employee data reports for Medacta USA, Medacta Americas Operations for Medacta Americas Manufacturing.
  • General administration support for all Medacta employees
  • Resource for general HR questions and inquiries.
  • Facilitate ordering badges, name tags, and offer service requests.
  • Works with managers to take appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and addressing employee grievances
  • Helps organize office events, meetings, and functions including logistics and communication.

OCCASIONAL DUTIES

Industry Conferences, Domestic Company Meetings. Other duties may be assigned at Medacta USA’s discretion.
