CoolToday is currently seeking a Human Resource Generalist to join our team comprised of creative and energetic employees, who are dedicated to delivering the best customer service experience every day. Our HR Generalist handles a variety of HR functions including the administrative responsibilities of: conducts New Hire Orientations, reviewing company policies and benefits information.Submitting and follow up on Commercial General Liability, Workers’ Compensation, and Automobile Liability insurance claims with insurance carriers.

Responsibilities:

What Will I Do?

  • Supports the Human Resources Department.
  • Gather and process pre-hire paperwork, background checks, and MVR checks.
  • Conducts New Hire Orientations, process all onboarding paperwork, reviewing company policies and benefits information.
  • Works with managers on disciplinary, attendance, and performance issues to ensure compliance with Company policies and practices.
  • Participates in benefits administration and enrollment for new employees and during Benefits Open Enrollment for employees.
  • Submitting, follow up, and monitoring Workers’ Compensation claims.
  • Other duties as assigned within the Human Resources Department.
  • Supoorts and coordinates company-wide recognition programs, team building activities and company sponsored sports events.
Qualifications:

Do I Have What it Takes:

  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience.
  • Basic knowledge of labor laws, compliance, and regulations.
  • Understanding of Workers’ Compensation insurance.
  • Must have high initiative, integrity, strong work ethic, and good communication.
  • Proven record of ability to maintain the highest level confidentiality.
  • Solid organizational and time-management capabilities
  • Effective oral and written communications skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with payroll related compliance and reporting.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook).
  • Earned a high school diploma or GED.
  • Experience with UKG Pro a plus but not required.
