HR Generalist

Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking an experienced HR Partner for their client's fast-paced HR department in Saratoga, CA. This temporary, full-time onsite role offers a pay rate of $42-$48 per hour and involves partnering closely with HR leadership. The HR Partner will serve as a key resource across employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, leave management, compliance, and HR operations. The ideal candidate is highly self-directed, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, orientation, and employee status changes.
• Handle employee relations matters, including investigations, performance concerns, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
• Ensure compliance with California labor laws, company policies, and employment regulations.
• Maintain accurate HRIS records and employee files while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Support recruitment activities, pre-employment processes, and new hire onboarding.
• Administer leave of absence programs, workers' compensation claims, unemployment claims, and benefits administration.
• Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and employment practices.
• Support employee engagement initiatives, retention programs, and training activities.
• Assist with safety initiatives, OSHA reporting, and workplace compliance programs.
• Generate HR reports, maintain HR metrics, analyze trends, and support strategic HR initiatives.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve HR processes and employee experience.

Qualifications

• 3-4+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience.
• Strong knowledge of California employment law and employee relations.
• Experience managing onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle activities.
• Experience with leave administration, benefits, workers' compensation, and HR compliance.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
• Workday experience strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.
