Overview

This role is responsible for leading employee relations investigations across a multi-state environment. The position focuses on independently managing sensitive workplace matters, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and delivering clear, defensible outcomes that support business integrity and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities

" Lead end-to-end investigations into employee relations matters, including misconduct, grievances, and policy violations
" Develop investigative strategies, determine scope, and prioritize caseload based on risk and complexity
" Conduct interviews with employees, managers, and witnesses to gather and validate facts
" Analyze documentation, evidence, and testimony to determine findings and recommend outcomes
" Maintain detailed, accurate, and audit-ready documentation within case management systems
" Ensure investigations are completed within defined timelines and service expectations
" Partner with HR and Legal to align on approach, risk exposure, and recommended actions
" Communicate findings and updates to stakeholders in a clear, professional manner
" Identify trends and root causes across cases to inform broader HR and business decisions
" Support development and refinement of policies, procedures, and compliance practices
" Contribute to training initiatives related to employee relations and workplace compliance

Qualifications

" 4 7 years of experience in HR, employee relations, or workplace investigations
" Strong experience handling complex and sensitive investigations independently
" Knowledge of employment laws and regulatory requirements (multi-state required)
" Experience with case management systems and HRIS tools
" Strong documentation and report-writing skills
" Ability to manage multiple investigations simultaneously with minimal oversight
" Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization
" High level of discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment

Preferred:
" HR certification (PHR or similar)
" Experience with enterprise HR systems (e.g., Oracle HCM, ServiceNow)
" Exposure to large, matrixed organizations
