    About the Role

    A leading headwear manufacturer and wholesale distributor with a global footprint is seeking an experienced HR Manager for its California operation in Brea. This role owns HR strategy, compliance, and employee relations, partnering with leadership to build a positive workplace culture while ensuring full compliance with California and federal labor law.



    Requirements

    Key Responsibilities

    - Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs aligned with company goals and California employment law

    - Advise leadership on workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development

    - Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding

    - Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations and conflict resolution, and drive engagement and recognition programs

    - Ensure compliance with California labor laws (wage and hour, leaves of absence, Cal/OSHA) and maintain accurate records for audits

    - Administer benefits programs and partner with finance on payroll and competitive compensation

    - Design training and development programs supporting growth, leadership, and compliance

    - Oversee the performance review process and workplace health and safety initiatives

     

    Required Qualifications

    - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

    - 5-7 years of HR experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role

    - Thorough knowledge of California labor laws and regulations

    - Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (Paychex, BambooHR, ADP, or Workday)

    - Professional English proficiency, written and verbal; Korean language ability a plus

    - Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with proven discretion handling confidential information

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    - HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP)
