Position Summary
A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to support its Dallas office while serving as the HR Business Partner for assigned business professional departments. This role combines strategic HR partnership with day-to-day office HR leadership and employee support.
Primary Responsibilities – Dallas Office
  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for the Dallas office, ensuring consistent delivery of HR services and operational support.
  • Partner with the Office Administration Lead and Office Managing Partner on office operations, communications, and strategic planning.
  • Manage local onboarding and integration activities, including new hire orientation, office setup, and cultural integration.
  • Support office logistics related to employee communications, emergency notifications, weather-related closures, and crisis response.
  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies, benefits, leave, accommodations, and workplace concerns.
  • Coordinate the administration of leaves of absence, ADA accommodations, and related documentation.
  • Lead local employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive, inclusive office culture.
  • Partner with firmwide Talent teams, including Attorney Recruitment, Attorney Talent, Benefits, Compensation, Talent Operations, and Human Resources, to ensure consistent HR practices.
  • Represent the HR function at local office meetings, events, and leadership discussions.
  • Support internship and office-specific programs in partnership with the Talent Team.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism.
HR Business Partner Responsibilities
  • Serve as a strategic HR Business Partner to assigned business professional departments by providing coaching, guidance, and data-driven recommendations to managers.
  • Support organizational design, workforce planning, and role clarity.
  • Partner with the Business Professional Acquisition team by reviewing candidate qualifications, participating in interviews, and advising on hiring decisions and compensation.
  • Guide managers through performance management, including goal setting, evaluations, employee feedback, and development planning.
  • Advise on employee relations matters, conduct investigations with HR leadership, and ensure consistent application of company policies.
  • Deliver HR training programs, including compliance, leadership development, and management training.
  • Collaborate with the Compensation team on job evaluations, salary recommendations, pay equity, and market alignment.
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyze trends, and recommend strategies to improve employee retention and engagement.
  • Partner with HR leadership on firmwide initiatives, policy development, process improvements, and change management.
QualificationsEducation
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum of six years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Strong experience serving as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist supporting multiple departments.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
