HR MANAGER

POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on HR Manager to join our growing industrial services company. This is an excellent opportunity for a direct, organized, and highly motivated HR professional who can manage multiple priorities while partnering closely with employees and leadership.
The HR Manager will oversee key areas of Human Resources, including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, payroll support, compliance, performance management, HRIS administration, and employee engagement.
Paylocity experience is great. The ideal candidate is also comfortable using AI technology and modern HR tools to improve processes, increase efficiency, and support data-driven HR decisions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the full employee lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding.
- Lead and support recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding activities.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Administer employee benefits, leave programs, and HR processes.
- Provide employee relations support and assist managers with performance management and disciplinary matters.
- Assist with payroll processing, payroll-related questions, and HR reporting.
- Manage and maintain HR information through Paylocity.
- Ensure compliance with applicable U.S. employment laws and Canada and regulations.
- Support HR compliance, policies, procedures, and internal audits.
- Partner with management on employee engagement, training, retention, and workforce initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and workplace efficiency.
- Utilize AI technology and HR technology tools to streamline processes and improve productivity.
- Travel periodically to company locations throughout the U.S. and Canada.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- Previous HR Generalist or HR Management experience required.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, recruiting, benefits, payroll, and HR compliance.
- Knowledge of U.S. employment laws and regulations.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, construction, or service environments preferred.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or similar certification is a plus.
- Strong computer and HRIS skills.
- Comfortable learning and utilizing AI technology and other digital HR tools.
