We are seeking a hands-on HR Manager to join a growing biotech/pharmaceutical startup during an exciting phase of expansion. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, build-from-scratch environments and brings strong experience supporting manufacturing operations within regulated industries.

Description

  • Manage daily HR operations including employee relations, onboarding, performance management, compliance, and policy administration
  • Partner with manufacturing leadership to support plant operations and workforce planning
  • Lead recruitment efforts for manufacturing, operations, quality, and corporate hires
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as industry regulations and HR best practices
  • Support payroll, benefits administration, and leave management processes
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies, SOPs, and employee programs appropriate for a startup environment
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and help foster a positive, high-performance culture
  • Handle employee relations matters with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR reporting metrics
  • Collaborate with leadership on organizational growth, retention strategies, and process improvements




Profile

  • 5+ years of HR experience, with significant experience supporting manufacturing environments
  • Prior experience within biotech, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other regulated industries strongly preferred
  • Experience working in startup or high-growth environments is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices
  • Experience supporting hourly and salaried employee populations
  • Proven ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable wearing multiple hats
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.) is a plus
