Human Resources Manager (Temporary)

Location: Melville, NY

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Full-Time, Onsite)

Pay Rate: $40-45/hour, depending on experience

Employment Type: Temporary

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join a growing organization in the Melville, NY area. This temporary opportunity is ideal for an HR professional with a strong generalist background who can effectively support day-to-day HR operations while partnering with leadership to drive employee engagement, compliance, and organizational success.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily HR operations and employee relations matters

  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees and management regarding HR policies and procedures

  • Support recruitment efforts, including interviewing, onboarding, and new hire orientation

  • Administer employee benefits, leave programs, and HR-related documentation

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws

  • Handle performance management, disciplinary actions, and employee coaching

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data

  • Assist with training and professional development initiatives

  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning and organizational needs

  • Support special HR projects and process improvements as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred

  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience

  • Prior experience in an HR Manager or Senior HR Generalist capacity

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance, and employee relations

  • Experience with recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and performance management

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
