Human Resources Manager (Temporary)
Location: Melville, NY
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Full-Time, Onsite)
Pay Rate: $40-45/hour, depending on experience

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join a growing organization in the Melville, NY area. This temporary opportunity is ideal for an HR professional with a strong generalist background who can effectively support day-to-day HR operations while partnering with leadership to drive employee engagement, compliance, and organizational success.
Responsibilities
Manage and oversee daily HR operations and employee relations matters
Serve as a trusted resource for employees and management regarding HR policies and procedures
Support recruitment efforts, including interviewing, onboarding, and new hire orientation
Administer employee benefits, leave programs, and HR-related documentation
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
Handle performance management, disciplinary actions, and employee coaching
Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
Assist with training and professional development initiatives
Partner with leadership on workforce planning and organizational needs
Support special HR projects and process improvements as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
Prior experience in an HR Manager or Senior HR Generalist capacity
Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance, and employee relations
Experience with recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and performance management
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
