We're partnering with a well-established, global manufacturer in the Chicago area that is seeking an experienced Interim HR Manager to join the business immediately. This role has arisen due to an upcoming departure on the HR team, and the organization is looking for a hands-on HR professional who can provide continuity and leadership while a permanent replacement is identified.

Description
- Serve as the lead HR contact for employees and managers across the site
- Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, and workplace investigations
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning initiatives
- Oversee employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, and compliance documentation
- Partner with leadership on organizational and people-related matters
- Assist with benefits administration, leave management, and HR reporting
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Maintain HRIS records and support ongoing HR projects and initiatives
Profile
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including experience in an HR Manager, HR Business Partner, or Senior HR Generalist capacity
- Strong employee relations and employment law knowledge
- Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or multi-site environments preferred
- Ability to work independently and confidently advise managers at all levels
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred
