Lead HR Operations for the Pacific Northwest's Largest Physician-Owned Dermatology Practice

At Frontier Dermatology, we're building an HR function that's as thoughtful, scalable, and people-centered as the organization it supports. As our HR Manager (Operations), you'll play a pivotal leadership role in shaping the infrastructure behind a growing healthcare organization with more than 650 employees across 40+ clinic locations in Oregon and Washington. This role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the employee experience while helping build the next chapter of our HR organization.

This is more than a traditional HR Manager role. You'll lead a talented HR operations team while driving meaningful initiatives across compensation, leave administration, benefits, HRIS, and compliance. If you're looking for a leadership opportunity where you can shape systems, mentor a team, and influence organizational success, we'd love to hear from you.

This position is expected to be based in the Portland metro area with a hybrid work arrangement. We recognize that outstanding talent isn't limited by geography, and exceptional candidates residing elsewhere in Oregon or Washington may also be considered.

What You'll Do

As a key partner to the Senior HR Director, you'll help translate strategic priorities into consistent execution across the organization by:

  • Leading, coaching, and developing a team of HR professionals responsible for onboarding, recruiting support, HRIS, benefits, and leave administration
  • Building scalable HR processes that improve service delivery and operational consistency across Oregon and Washington
  • Leading the development and implementation of the organization's compensation structure and job architecture framework
  • Serving as the organizational leader for leave administration, ensuring compliance with federal, Oregon, and Washington leave programs
  • Overseeing benefits administration workflows, vendor relationships, and open enrollment planning
  • Providing functional leadership for HRIS systems, data integrity, reporting, and future system enhancements
  • Partnering with operational leaders throughout the organization to improve HR processes and support organizational growth
  • Developing HR metrics and dashboards that help leaders make informed workforce decisions

Education and/or Experience:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered
  • Minimum of 6–8 years of progressive HR experience in one or more core HR operational areas, such as benefits, leave administration, compensation, HRIS, recruiting support, onboarding/offboarding, or employee lifecycle processes
  • Prior people management experience
  • Experience supporting multi-site organizations
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment requirements

Preferred

  • Healthcare or medical practice experience
  • Experienced in Oregon and Washington employment requirements
  • Experience participating in HR systems, leave platform, benefits workflow, compensation, or HR operations process improvement initiatives
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
