Job Description

Cramer Fish Sciences (CFS) is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee best practices, direct, coordinate, and administer all human resources activities. The responsibilities of this position include talent management, employee relations, policy development, HR compliance, compensation guidance, management training, benefits administration, employee development and performance management.Position Type: Full-TimeEssential Duties and Responsibilities include:Develop a strong understanding of the business environment, strategy, people implications and apply the appropriate HR solutions to meet the business objectives.Work with management to develop, interpret, implement, and maintain the Company's personnel policies and procedures in accordance with federal, state and local laws and regulations.Manage employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, workplace complaints, or other employee concerns.Supervise and assists the HR Generalist in the administration of all aspects of the Talent Acquisition function including maintaining updated job requisitions, recruiting, coordinating interviews, extending offer letters, conducting background/references checks, and general HR onboarding and training.Support and coach management throughout all aspects of performance management including performance reviews / appraisals, disciplinary actions, counseling techniques, performance goals / plans, and information related to training.Support employee career development, training and professional growth initiatives.Provide management with recommendations for staff and/or management training related to interviewing, performance appraisals, counseling techniques or documentation of performance issues or performance goals / plans.Support administration of compensation and employee benefit programs.Maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and electronic filing system.Responsible for the Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) compliance and maintaining current knowledge of EEO (Equal Employment Opportunity), ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and Affirmative Action guidelines.Manages all leaves of absence (FMLA/OFLA, disability, workers comp, etc.) including managing workers compensation claims.Conduct exit interviews and work with Payroll to ensure that necessary employment termination paperwork is completed.Other duties as assigned.Minimal Qualifications and Experience5-7 years of HR experience including employee relations, talent acquisition, benefits management, policy and procedure development, and leave managementStrong understanding Federal and State Employment Laws including California, Washington and OregonAbility to work independently and in a team environmentComplex problem solving, attention to detail, and time management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsOutstanding customer service and interpersonal skillsCompetent in the usage of MS Word, MS Excel, and HRIS systems. Compensation and Benefits: Competitive base salary based on qualifications Health and retirement benefits Incentive pay structure available CFS is an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) companyCramer Fish Sciences is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer: All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or protected veteran status and will not be discriminated against on the basis of disability.
