Summary

Manage all aspects of the WCC Human Resources Department at the facility level on a day-to-day basis consistent with Legends Global corporate goals and policies. Ensure all policies and procedures are administered fairly and consistently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follows Legends Global Human Resources policies to assure compliance with legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions. Maintains compliance with state regulations concerning employment.
  • Administers various Human Resources plans and procedures for all staff.
  • Performs recruitment activities. Prepares job requisitions in conjunction with Department Head, Director and General Manager approval.
  • Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions with Department Head, Director and General Manager approval.
  • Plans and conduct new employee orientations.
  • Administers Workday HRIS data entry for all employee’s activities.
  • Administer personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and 401K plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • Conducts employee relations investigations and advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. Advises the corporate office of EEOC complaints and other employee relations problems.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Administers Affirmative Action Plan.
  • Administers performance review and salary administration program.
  • Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
  • Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier.
  • Serves as the COBRA and FMLA Administrator for facility.
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
  • Lead Quarterly staff meetings by preparing power point presentations and collaborating with department heads.
  • Chair Employee Engagement committee to foster a healthy, inclusive, and fun culture throughout the organization.

Training and Development:

  • Conduct new hire on-boarding orientation training.
  • Partner with department heads on new hire departmental training program.
  • Assign all new hires for Academy training, where applicable, and follow up with department heads for completion.
  • Coordinates training and trains Managers in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance management, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year College or University.
  • 3+ related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience administrating benefit programs.
  • Workday experience required.
  • Combination of education and experience may be accepted.

Skills and Abilities

  • Solid knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources administration.
  • Knowledge of training and development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Professional appearance and attitude are essential.
  • Familiarity with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA and related state and federal regulations required.
  • Ability to function independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work with and maintain highly confidential information.
  • Ability to multitask and organize priorities and duties.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Workday recruiting experience or equivalent, including generating job requisitions, background checks, offer letters, onboarding, etc. required.
  • HR certification preferred.

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in Workday required.
