Description
We're a small, close-knit office looking for a reliable and people-oriented HR & Office Coordinator to help keep our team and workplace running at their best. This is a hands-on, dual-function role — you'll assist with HR tasks like onboarding, recordkeeping, and benefits while also handling the day-to-day coordination that keeps our office organized and efficient. It's a great fit for someone who enjoys variety, is naturally organized, and takes satisfaction in supporting the people around them.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Maintain and update employee records in accordance with company policy and state and federal regulations
Assist with recruiting: coordinate job postings, screen applicants, schedule interviews, and run background checks as needed
Support new hire onboarding, orientation, and paperwork collection
Help coordinate benefits enrollment and serve as a point of contact for employee benefits questions
Track PTO, attendance, and leave requests
Assist with performance review coordination and documentation
Help plan and support employee recognition and team events
Contribute to continuous HR process improvements and special projects as assigned
Travel to Long Beach location as needed
Qualification:
1–3 years of experience in HR support, office administration, or a similar role
Basic familiarity with California labor law and HR compliance
Some exposure to payroll, benefits, and hiring processes
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and able to pick up new tools quickly
Clear, professional communicator — both in writing and in person
Trustworthy and discreet when handling confidential employee information
Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
