Temporary to Hire HR Operations Assistant needed for an education organization in Irvine. This is a ON SITE role,

This role will report to the Manager, HR Operations team.
The Human Resources Assistant's key role is to support the associates during their employment life cycle. This is done by correctly entering and maintaining data in the Oracle HCM system. The administrative data management includes onboarding - new hire process, status changes, LOA, and employment terminations. The HR Assistant will also collect data for routine audits for Payroll, Legal, etc. Much of this work is highly confidential and critically important. The Human Resources Assistant must work successfully with applicants/associates, members of management, and HR team members.

Job Duties:

Manage and maintain associate data, ensuring accuracy, compliance with policies, and seamless
processing across HR systems.
* Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing HR-related inquiries from associates,
managers, and stakeholders with professionalism and efficiency.
* Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development teams to facilitate a smooth
onboarding experience for new hires.
* Ensure all new hires complete required onboarding tasks, with a focus on I-9 verification and
compliance documentation.
* Work closely with HR team members to streamline workflows, identify opportunities for
automation, and enhance operational efficiency.
* Provide training and guidance to HR team members on HR systems, processes, and best
practices.
* Assist in administering leave of absence processes, managing communications, and ensuring
compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
* Support benefits administration tasks, including processing Workers' Compensation claims,
managing Employment Development Department (EDD) paperwork, and maintaining accurate
records.
* Gather and analyze data for audits related to Payroll, Legal, and compliance requirements.
* Uphold strict confidentiality standards in handling associate and organizational data.
* Partner with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Oracle HCM and other
HR systems.
* Participate in testing and implementing system updates and new features within Oracle HCM to
improve functionality and user experience.

* Performs a wide range of duties related to processing and maintaining associate data.
* Interacts with and provides information to job applicants, associates, management and public/private agencies.
* Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all associate information.
* Provides administrative and operational support to members of the HR team.
* Demonstrates courtesy, diplomacy and tact in interactions with internal and external customers.
* Adheres to College/University policies and procedures and conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Companies Code of Ethical Conduct, Compliance Agreement, Sexual Harassment Policy or any of its policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.
* Maintains regular and timely attendance, reports to work as scheduled and as required to meet the needs of the Company and assures time worked and/or time-off is recorded properly.
* Exercises care, proper use and maintenance of department equipment and supplies and identifies unsafe conditions and makes appropriate adjustments.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay is $27.00-$31.00 per hour
