We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly experienced HR Operations Specialist to join our team in the construction industry. This is a permanent, hybrid position that requires a seasoned professional with a solid background in payroll, leave administration, multi-state operations, 401 K management, and compliance. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our HR department, ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The role requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in the field.

Responsibilities

As an HR Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for:

1. Managing and overseeing the entire payroll process, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
2. Administering leave programs, including FMLA, short-term and long-term disability, and other types of leave.
3. Ensuring compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations across multiple states.
4. Administering the company's 401 K plan, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
5. Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the department.
6. Assisting in the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
7. Conducting audits of HR activities to ensure compliance.
8. Collaborating with the HR team and other departments to ensure the company's HR requirements are met.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the HR Operations Specialist position will have the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in HR operations, specifically in payroll and leave administration.
2. Extensive knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
3. Solid experience with HR software and databases.
4. Experience in managing 401 K plans and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
5. Proven experience in multi-state operations and understanding of related laws and regulations.
6. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
7. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to handle data with confidentiality.
9. Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.
10. Degree in Human Resources or related field.
