The HR Partner is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides Human Resources support to Amazon"s Logistics & Transportation organization. The role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.

Successful candidates will:

  • Possess a strong aptitude for aligning HR strategies with business objectives, recommending innovative approaches, and enhancing productivity within a fast changing work environment.
  • Have a track record of coaching and mentoring at the management level, successfully implementing development, employee relations, performance management, and employee experience initiatives.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Show an ability to balance proactive planning with real-time problem-solving.
  • Demonstrate exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Be able to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.

Key job responsibilities

  • Coaching Managers: Providing expert guidance to managers on various HR-related topics to ensure effective leadership and people management.
  • Project Management: Managing and deploying small to medium scale HR projects and change initiatives that contribute to our organizational success.
  • Performance Management: Partnering with managers to enhance employee performance, support talent development, and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Talent Management: Collaborating closely with management to execute onboarding, development, engagement and training strategies within their teams.
  • Employee Relations: Conducting investigations and driving resolution for employee grievances/concerns.
  • Employee Case Management: Handling complex employee cases in compliance with local legislation.
  • Data Analysis: Analyzing HR data and providing valuable recommendations to drive process improvements, design effective training initiatives, and align policies across multiple business lines.
  • Stakeholder Management: Partnering with and influencing HR stakeholders, including HR Specialists, HR Business Partners, and Centers of Excellence (CoEs).

A day in the life

HRPs provide white-glove, concierge-level support to managers and employees within the Amazon North America Operations Corporate organization. HRPs are influential partners in supporting the organization as a subject-matter experts in people-related processes considered core and common across business lines. These processes include talent management, performance management, people development, employee relations and implementation of organizational changes. HRPs use data to drive improvements across multiple business lines, standardizing and scaling where possible. Key stakeholders for HRPs are HR Specialists, CoEs, HRBPs, People Managers, and Employees.
