Payroll/HR Clerk\n \nA Human Resources/Payroll Clerk provides administrative and clerical support to both the Human Resource (HR) and payroll. Maintaining employee records, assisting with onboarding and bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accurate compensation and employee records. \n \nRole Overview \n \nThis position is a split position between HR and payroll administration, requiring attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive employee information. The assistant works closely with HR, payroll, accuracy, and timely processing of payroll and employee tasks. This position will report to the Director of Human Resources. \n \nKey Responsibilities \n \nHuman Resource Duties \n \nOrganize and maintain employee records; verifying personnel files and HR documentation. \n \nVerify and track all certifications, licenses, and documents with all primary sources. \n \nWork closely with Provider Recruitment Specialist in the placement of students. \n \nTrack all Personnel Action Forms (PAF's) ensuring all systems are updated. \n \nAssist with answering phones and responding to HR inquiries. \n \nAssist in maintaining HR databases. \n \nAssist in tracking of new employee benefit enrollment and annual open-enrollment. \n \nWork collaboratively across departments. \n \nOther duties as assigned. \n \nPayroll Duties \n \nSupport payroll preparation, verifying employee information, and assisting with Benefit administration. \n \nAccurately input new hire payroll profiles into the payroll system. \n \nAssist in collecting, reviewing, and entering employee timesheet and payroll data into payroll systems. \n \nVerify timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies with employees. \n \nAssist in the preparation and processing of bi-weekly payroll along with special payrolls. \n \nAssist with preparation of payroll reports for management, finance, and auditors. \n \nAct as backup for payroll. \n \nEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws. \n \nRespond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve errors. \n \nAssist with tax filings and employment tax returns. \n \nOther duties as assigned. \n \nRequired Skills & Qualifications \n \nDetail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. \n \nProficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Cornerstone) \n \nPrior HRIS/payroll system experience a plus \n \nPrior HR and Payroll experience a plus \n \nBasic understanding of accounting principles and payroll regulations. \n \nAbility to handle confidential information with discretion. \n \nStrong communication and interpersonal skills. \n \nEducation: \n \nHigh school diploma or equivalent; \n \nAssociate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or HR preferred. \n\n
