A professional services firm in New Jersey is seeking a new HR Project Lead for a promising opportunity with their growing team. In this role, the HR Project Lead will align human resources strategy, support key projects, and focus on driving engagement across the organization.
About the Opportunity:
- Assignment Length: 6+ months
- Setting: Hybrid (at least 3 days a week onsite in Iselin, NJ)
Responsibilities:
- Support and lead HR projects from planning through execution, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and business objectives are met
- Develop project plans, track milestones, manage risks and provide regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership
- Serve as a resource to address workplace concerns with discretion and fairness, leveraging HR policies, compliance practices, and employment law considerations
- Promote and reinforce company values, culture, and employee engagement
- Guide managers through performance management cycles, providing coaching on feedback, goal setting, and development plans
- Utilize HR systems, data management, and reporting for workforce insights
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, workflows, and operational efficiency
- Document and maintain HR procedures, process maps, and standard operating practices
- Analyze workforce and project-related data to identify trends, measure success, and support decision-making
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2-3 years acting as a Business Partner, Employee Relations Specialist, HR Project Specialist or Manager
- Good knowledge of Employment Law & Employee Relations
- Experience with HRIS systems
- Experience managing HR projects, programs or strategic initiatives
- Knowledge of project management methods and tools
- Experience supporting change management and process improvement initiatives
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and HR reporting tools
- Ability to work independently, act with discretion, and quickly adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
