HR Recruiter

Smoker & Company LLC is seeking an HR Recruiter to lead and support the firm’s recruiting and hiring efforts. This position plays an important role in helping us attract, hire, and retain quality candidates for our accounting, tax, and administrative teams. The ideal candidate will be organized, professional, personable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced CPA firm environment, especially during busy tax seasons.

Responsibilities Include:

• Manage the full recruitment process from start to finish, including identifying staffing needs, posting positions, reviewing resumes, conducting screenings, coordinating interviews.
• Proactively source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, professional networks, employee referrals, and community connections.
• Assist with seasonal hiring needs during tax season, including temporary and administrative staffing.
• Coordinate campus recruiting and help build relationships with colleges and universities for entry-level accounting and internship opportunities.
• Evaluate candidates for both technical qualifications and overall fit within the firm’s environment.
• Schedule and coordinate interviews with partners and managers while maintaining clear communication throughout the hiring process.
• Prepare offer letters, onboarding, and help create a smooth transition for new employees joining the firm.
• Represent Smoker & Company LLC professionally at recruiting events, job fairs, and community networking opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Previous recruiting, HR, or staffing experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities at one time.
• Professional demeanor with strong attention to detail.
• Experience recruiting in accounting, finance, or professional office environments is a plus.
