The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University''s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

This is a full-time, on-site position. Candidates must be able to work in our office during regular business hours. This position is not eligible for remote or hybrid work.

Position Summary

The HR Representative provides administrative support to the CUIMC Human Resources Department and works closely with staff and affiliates by providing basic HR information to inquiries or directing staff to the proper HR function.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Respond to all inquiries (email, phone, in-person) by providing answers/guidance and/or coordinating responses within the department.
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing department mail.
  • Schedule department meetings and events using the University scheduling system.
  • Maintain department inventory of supplies, forms, and program materials.
  • Review CUIMC job postings for quality assurance. Ensure job descriptions and requisitions meet University requirements.
  • Responsible for the successful completion of on-boarding tasks and compliance programs for new hires and existing staff. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Review background check reports to ensure applicants meet University hiring standards. Review discrepancies and flags with the Sr HR Business Partner to determine final adjudication.
  • Assist new hires, rehires and existing staff in completing the University I-9 process.
  • Assist departments in the scheduling of medical surveillance appointments for new and existing staff.
  • Assist departments in the scheduling of New Hire Welcome Program.
  • Assist in the processing of visitor applications.
  • Disseminate the communications of employment clearance, probationary letters, exit interviews, Welcome Program announcements and medical clearance, non-attendance reports and other correspondence as required.
  • Facilitate and deliver the CUIMC Welcome Program. Confirm dates and locations to presenting staff and participating departments. Prepare information packets, materials and tracks participation. Updates Welcome Program presentation whenever necessary.
  • Liaison for applicants using the on-line TalentLink application process. Assist users in completing and submitting job applications in TalentLink. Troubleshoot basic user issues such as password resets and uploading of application documents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s Degree or the equivalent in education training and/ or experience.

Other Requirements

  • Prior exposure to HR operations, benefits, or HR systems is welcomed but not required; candidates who are eager to learn and grow in Human Resources are encouraged to apply.
  • Must possess a positive, customer service "can do" attitude.
  • Must be well-organized, with excellent presentation, interpersonal skills and communications skills, both written and oral exceptional customer services skills.
  • Ability to foster relationships with our client groups and ability to collaborate with HR Team.
  • Must be able to work independently and take initiative.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, set priorities, problem solve, multi-task and maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Access) and web maintenance is highly preferred.
