Job Description Summary

This role is responsible for completing various centralized HR processes and administrative activities. It acts as a HR data subject matter expert and is responsible for daily system audits, compliance, and system of record expertise. The Specialist will work to resolve HR requests of higher complexity using established procedures with accurate responses within the allotted timeframe.

The scope of work shall also include policy and program administration, such as I-9 compliance/verification, Tuition Reimbursement administration, background reviews, and cases requiring domain expertise with tactical and practical experience on high severity cases resulting in the de-escalation and proper case management. This role will assist the HR HUB Associate Specialists (Tier 1) in the effective discharge of their job responsibilities as well as taking ownership of developing and maintaining a Knowledge Management repository of case studies and their solutions for future reference and analysis.

Job Description

The work location for this role is in the general Kennewick, WA area because while primarily working remotely, there is requirement to work onsite one day per week.

  • Works with appropriate resources to ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
  • Creates and maintains desktop instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, and other documentation in the Case Management system.
  • Participates in systems modifications and upgrades, identifies requirement changes, end-user testing, training and implementation related to area of subject matter expertise.
  • Identifies and correct erroneous data and processes and proactively strive for continuous improvement and process optimization across HR HUB to reduce or minimize data errors.
  • Provides support for HR systems including, but not limited to, researching and resolving problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performs scheduled activities; recommends solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
  • Maintains the HR systems and Applications including data inputs, outputs, processes, security, and delegation of data maintenance.
  • Leads and partners with the business to map HR processes, cleans data, and recommends solutions for continued process improvement.
  • Ensures accuracy and integrity of organizational data within the HR System Landscape.
  • Creates standard and ad hoc queries or reports.
  • Follows established procedures for updating, validating, and correcting employee records or other related HR data.
  • Prepares end-user documentation or training materials as needed.
  • Acts as Project Coordinator for company Acquisitions/Merger/Divestiture activity.
  • Assists in maintenance, troubleshooting and design of HR system of record and other human resources computer applications and systems.
  • Reviews basic analytics to provide feedback to HUB Process Innovation/HRIS for system enhancements.
  • Identifies and participates in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensures compliance with Data Privacy & Protection Guidelines and relevant legislation.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

Education/Certification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or Accounting, Finance, Statistics, preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum three years of experience in HR data administration; HR operations; and/or HR Shared Services, required.
  • HR management systems, experience in Workday, preferred.
  • Human Resources support or shared services model experience, preferred.

  • Proficiency in MS Office - strong Excel skills, required.
  • Fluency in written/spoken English, required.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal and conflict management skills, required.
