A cover letter and resume are important submissions for the hiring team to get a sense of your experience and skill set. Submit both a cover letter and resume as one file.
The review of resumes will begin when the posting closes. Applicants selected for an interview will be contacted via email. The interview process will consist of an initial 30-45 minute screening interview and one or two additional interviews for select candidates. Additionally, samples of relevant work may be requested.
Job Summary
The Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning is looking for a human resources specialist for staff and students to manage a wide variety of HR activities. Reporting to the chief of staff (our organizational chart), you will maintain a positive work environment by ensuring prompt, efficient and professional responses to HR issues and contribute to our community by building trusting partnerships across the college.
This job is situated in Ann Arbor and on-campus work is expected three days a week, with a few offsite weeks throughout the academic year and an offsite period from mid-May to mid-August.

The work requirements allow both onsite and offsite work and an employee has an expected recurring onsite presence. On occasion, the employee may be required and must be available to work onsite more frequently if necessitated by unit leadership or their designee and/or the job requirements.
Additional Information
The salary for this position is $55,000-$60,00. Factors used to determine salary include experience, knowledge and skills for the position. You are encouraged to discuss salary questions to honor transparency throughout the recruiting process.
