We are recruiting for an HR Specialist job in Winston Salem, NC! We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to support a variety of HR functions, including supporting recruiting, onboarding, employee communications, benefits administration, HR reporting, and employee engagement. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees and helps ensure HR processes run smoothly while maintaining accurate records and compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities
Support recruiting efforts by posting jobs and assisting with onboarding.
Coordinate new hire orientation and maintain onboarding documentation.
Complete I-9 verification and ensure compliance with employment requirements.
Update HR policies, handbooks, forms, and employee communications.
Maintain employee records and HR data in HR systems.
Assist with benefits administration and answer employee questions.
Create HR reports and track workforce metrics.
Support payroll by providing employee updates and validating data.
Manage HR content on SharePoint, newsletters, and internal communication boards.
Coordinate employee recognition programs, engagement activities, and company events.
Assist with performance management activities and employee surveys.
Support compliance with federal, state, and company employment policies.
Collaborate with managers and departments to meet HR and business needs.
Qualifications
Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
At least 1 year of administrative or office experience; HR experience preferred.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Forms.
Experience with HRIS a plus.
Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Details: $24.00 to $26.00 per hour
