HR Systems Project Consultant / Project Manager (Contract)

• Location: Greenway Area, Houston, TX
• Contract Length: 2–3 Months (Potential Extension for Additional Projects)
• Schedule: Fully In-Office, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (flexibility available if needed)
• Pay Rate: $30–$40/hour

A well-established organization is actively interviewing for an HR Systems Project Consultant / Project Manager to lead a critical HR technology transition. The ideal candidate will be available to start quickly and take ownership of a fast-paced ATS migration project while supporting additional HR systems initiatives.

 

This individual will play a key role in transitioning from Taleo to JazzHR, ensuring a smooth implementation, user adoption, and process optimization. In addition to the ATS migration, this position will support an organizational chart software project and other HR process improvement efforts.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the transition from Taleo to JazzHR.
• Configure and support JazzHR implementation, including workflows, job postings, candidate management processes, and user setup.
• Partner with HR stakeholders to ensure successful ATS migration and adoption.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for HR technology implementation projects.
• Track project timelines, milestones, risks, deliverables, and implementation progress.
• Identify and resolve project and system issues to maintain project schedules.
• Assist with the evaluation, setup, implementation, and ongoing management of organizational chart software.
• Maintain accurate organizational structures and reporting relationships within organizational chart tools.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve HR systems, technology, recruiting processes, onboarding, and organizational planning initiatives.
• Document workflows, system configurations, and process improvements.
• Communicate project status updates to HR leadership and key stakeholders.
• Support additional HR systems, technology, and process improvement projects as needed.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing HR systems, ATS, or HRIS implementation projects.
• Hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems such as JazzHR, Taleo, Workday Recruiting, Greenhouse, iCIMS, or similar platforms.
• Strong project management, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work independently and drive projects with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience with process documentation, workflow development, and change management.
• Background in HR operations, recruiting operations, HR technology, or related functions is highly preferred.
