Role Overview

Strong Tower is seeking an HR & Team Coordinator Intern for Summer 2026. This internship is ideal for someone interested in human resources, people's operations, employee experience, compliance, business administration, and the practical use of AI in the workplace. The intern will support day-to-day HR operations, onboarding, employee documentation, PTO tracking, training coordination, compliance activities, team events, reporting, payroll preparation, equipment provisioning, and employee engagement initiatives. The role will also include exposure to HR systems such as ADP TotalSource and opportunities to explore how Generative AI can improve operational efficiency across the company.

This person enjoys working with people, improving processes, coordinating details, and using technology, including AI, to make operations more efficient and effective.

Key Responsibilities

The HR & Team Coordinator Intern will assist with:

HR Operations & Administration

  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Help maintain employee records, forms, and HR documentation.
  • Assist with employee PTO tracking, updates, and related reporting.
  • Support compliance-related paperwork and process documentation.
  • Help coordinate required employee training and completion of tracking.
  • Assist with HR-related scheduling, follow-ups, and administrative tasks.

Payroll, Benefits & HR Systems

  • Support payroll preparation activities under supervision.
  • Assist with data entry, review, and organization in HR systems, including ADP TotalSource.
  • Help track employee information, status changes, documentation, and payroll-related updates.
  • Support compliance requirements related to California employment and tax processes, as needed.

Employee Experience & Team Engagement

  • Help plan and coordinate team events, employee morale activities, and internal meetings.
  • Support employee communications related to HR updates, events, training, and reminders.
  • Assist with scheduling team meetings, internal check-ins, and employee engagement activities.
  • Help identify ways to improve employee experience and strengthen team culture.

Operations & Equipment Support

  • Assist with equipment provisioning, tracking, and coordination for new hires and employees.
  • Help organize internal documentation, checklists, trackers, and process guides.
  • Support general business operations and administrative workflows as needed.

AI & Process Improvement

  • Explore ways to use AI tools to improve HR, operations, onboarding, reporting, and employee support processes.
  • Help document use cases for Generative AI in the workplace.
  • Assist with training or refining an internal AI agent to support HR and operations workflows.
  • Research and recommend practical AI-enabled improvements to reduce manual work and

improve accuracy.

Desired Qualifications

  • Current college student, recent graduate, or early-career professional interested in HR, business, operations, or people management.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple tasks.
  • Interested in HR systems, employee operations, compliance, and workplace technology.
  • Curiosity about Generative AI and how it can be used responsibly in business settings.
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, documents, scheduling tools, and business systems.
  • Prior experience with HR, payroll, office administration, event coordination, or AI tools is helpful but not required.

Skills the Intern Will Develop

  • HR operations and employee lifecycle support.
  • Onboarding, compliance, payroll preparation, and PTO administration.
  • Experience using HR systems such as ADP TotalSource.
  • Employee engagement and internal communications.
  • Business process documentation and operational reporting.
