Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)

Location: Sacramento, CA (Onsite)

Schedule: Full-Time

An established organization is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to support HR operations, compliance, employee relations, leave administration, and payroll-related processes across a multi-state workforce. This role partners closely with HR and Payroll leadership to ensure accurate processes, regulatory compliance, and a positive employee experience.

Position Summary

The HR Business Partner will provide support across employee relations, leave administration, workers' compensation, accommodations, compliance, and HR operations. This position works extensively with HR systems and payroll data to ensure accuracy, documentation integrity, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

Key Responsibilities

Leave Administration

Administer and track employee leaves, including FMLA, CFRA, ADA, and state-specific leave programs.

Ensure leave entries, time off, and pay codes are accurately reflected in HR and payroll systems.

Monitor leave balances, timelines, certifications, and required documentation.

Partner with employees and managers to facilitate communication throughout the leave process.

Workers' Compensation

Support workers' compensation claim intake and administration.

Coordinate with carriers and internal stakeholders regarding claims and wage reporting.

Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to claims management.

Track case status and support compliance efforts.

Accommodations & ADA Compliance

Support the interactive process and ADA accommodation requests.

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to accommodations.

Partner with HR leadership to ensure consistent and compliant practices.

Employee Relations & Investigations

Assist with employee relations matters and workplace concerns.

Support investigations through documentation, fact gathering, and record maintenance.

Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

5+ years of Human Resources experience.

Experience supporting multi-state employees and compliance initiatives.

Knowledge of leave administration, workers' compensation, employee relations, and employment law.

Strong understanding of payroll processes and HR systems.

High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.

Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
