HRIS Analyst & Administrative Assistant to the Human Resources Division Chief

The Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) is seeking to hire an HRIS analyst to enhance the performance of HR technologies and to assist the Human Resources Division Chief. The duties of both roles will include optimizing performance of the HR systems, gathering data, making recommendations, and providing senior level administrative experience and support to the Human Resources Division Chief.

To ensure success as an HRIS analyst, the analyst should posess experience in the HRIS industry as well at the general HR industry. Outstanding HRIS analysts combine their knowledge with expertise in HRIS to ensure optimal HR management.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to for HRIS:

• Lead in the creating and implementation of a performance management tool.

• Conduct performance metrics and assist in resolving application issues

• Documentation of HR policies, processes, and practices, compiling the HR data and generating reports

• Ensuring the efficient recording and secure storage of HR metrics, including attendance, employee performance data, and employee personnel records

• Performing audits on HR processes and documentation, including hiring, termination of service, performing and analyzing exit interviews, assisting with payroll administration, and HRCMS reports

• Maintaining and organizing the HR SharePoint, including employee personnel files.

• Maintaining the organizational chart of the commission.

• Providing diversity statistics, employee turn over statistics, and employee audit file statistics to the Human Resources Division Chief as needed while identifying trends, issues, and opportunities to guide HR decisions

• Planning of the employee recognition programs including monthly events and calendars, working closely with the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Sr. Program Manager

• Assistant duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Support the administrative needs of the Human Resources Division Chief including managing calendars, appointments, emails, and duties as needed.

• Maintain filing systems

• Support the preparation and development of reports, presentations, and spreadsheets

• Prepare and distribute correspondence as needed

• Schedule appointments, meetings, and conferences; take meeting notes when necessary

• Prepare employment materials and maintain employee database records

• Compile and maintain records for use in the administration of employee benefits, and required ethics and CORI training
