Position Summary: The HRIS Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and payroll processes to ensure accurate employee data management, reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency. This role serves as the primary administrator for ADP Workforce Now, overseeing multi-state payroll processing, HR system administration, workforce reporting, data analytics, and HR technology initiatives. The HRIS Analyst also supports HR operations by providing system expertise, maintaining data integrity, and driving continuous process improvements across the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Maintain, configure, and optimize HRIS modules including employee records, payroll, benefits, and performance management.
  • Process multi-state payroll accurately and timely through ADP Workforce Now on a semi-monthly processing schedule for 600+ employees.
  • Audit payroll transactions including new hires, terminations, pay changes, bonuses, deductions, garnishments, and timekeeping data.
  • Reconcile payroll reports and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and system-related issues.
  • Coordinate payroll-related activities including year-end processing, W-2 distribution, tax reporting, and payroll audits.
  • Partner with Finance and Accounting to reconcile payroll-related accounts and reporting.
  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of employee and payroll data across all HR systems.
  • Maintain user access controls, system security settings, and compliance with data privacy regulations and company policies.
  • Troubleshoot HRIS issues and coordinate with vendors to resolve system-related concerns.
  • Generate recurring HR and payroll reports, including headcount, turnover, compensation, compliance, and workforce metrics.
  • Create ad hoc reports and dashboards to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Analyze HR and payroll data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for process improvement.
  • Support HR operations by maintaining employee records, preparing HR documentation, and managing electronic personnel files.
  • Assist with onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and other employee lifecycle processes.
  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding HRIS, payroll, benefits, and HR processes.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources, Finance, and IT teams to streamline workflows and enhance system functionality.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to HR staff, managers, and end users on HRIS functionality and payroll processes.
  • Participate in HR technology projects, system implementations, upgrades, testing, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain organizational structures, position control, job codes, pay rates, and reporting relationships within ADP Workforce Now to support workforce planning and organizational changes.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of HRIS administration experience
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and data management.
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms and reporting tools, preferred ADP Workforce Now
  • Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
