The HR Systems Analyst serves as the primary owner of Workday Core HCM, supporting supervisory organizations, locations, and other foundational configurations that drive downstream HR and Talent processes. The role is responsible for maintaining system integrity, supporting staffing and Recruiting touchpoints, and delivering Core HCM reporting and enhancements that enable accurate, reliable workforce data.
The functional area of focus will vary by Analyst (e.g., Compensation, Benefits, Time Tracking, Absence Management, Recruiting, Talent and Performance), with each Analyst owning responsibility for at least one Workday module. Analysts are expected to develop depth in their primary area while maintaining working knowledge across adjacent modules.
As a technical contributor, the HR Systems Analyst supports both project-based initiatives and ongoing operational needs. The role is responsible for analyzing HR processes, identifying improvement opportunities, configuring and testing Workday solutions, and supporting reporting and analytics, including exposure to advanced Workday analytics capabilities such as Prism (preferred). The roots of Burlington go back to 1924 when we started as a wholesaler of ladies’ coats and juniors’ suits. In 1972, we opened our first outlet store in Burlington, NJ. Coats were the primary offering at the original Burlington Stores, but over time we have evolved into one of the nation’s top off-price retailers.
Now a publicly traded company, we operate more than 550 stores in 45 states and Puerto Rico. Over the past 5 years, we have added more than 20 stores each year and are on our way to 1000+ stores.
