HRIS Specialist

Location: 1 Dixon Square, Chestertown, MD 21620

Shift: 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Pay Range: $50,000-$80,000

The Dixon Group is looking for a HRIS Specialist to join our team! As an HRIS Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, functionality, and secure operation of our human resources information systems. In this role, you will collaborate closely with HR, IT, and cross-functional stakeholders to streamline processes and drive initiatives that improve overall data integrity. Ultimately, your daily efforts will optimize our HR workflows and ensure our technological systems are perfectly aligned with our broader organizational goals.

What Youll Do:

  • Maintain the efficient operation of all HRIS platforms and drive continuous improvement initiatives to automate workflows and eliminate inefficiencies.
  • Accurately enter and update employee data in the UKG system, promptly rectify discrepancies, and generate regular HRIS reports for internal review and compliance.
  • Partner with HR, IT, and external vendors to troubleshoot system issues, implement necessary upgrades, and support broader organizational changes.
  • Establish and uphold robust system security protocols, maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive employee data, and provide guidance to management during HR audits.
  • Act as a subject matter expert by assisting in the training and onboarding of new HR team members on UKG data entry protocols.

What Were Looking For:

  • 3+ years of experience managing or supporting HRIS platforms, data analysis, or HR data operations, with demonstrated hands-on proficiency using UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) or a similar platform.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Strong technical aptitude, including advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite-particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • A high level of accuracy in data entry and exceptional problem-solving skills to identify and fix record discrepancies.
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational skills to effectively manage shifting priorities and system demands.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with general HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance regulations is a strong plus.
