LHH Recruiting Solutions is partnering with a local company in Overland Park, Kansas, to identify an experienced HRIS professional for a contract opportunity. This fully onsite position offers a competitive pay rate of $42.00-$45.00 per hour, depending on experience, along with standard benefits. We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with strong technical and human resources systems expertise who can support critical HR operations and system functionality.

Position Overview

The HRIS Specialist will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the organization's Human Resources Information System (HRIS). This role serves as a key resource for HR data integrity, reporting, system troubleshooting, process improvement, and user support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR technology, data management, and HR processes, with the ability to collaborate effectively across HR, payroll, benefits, and leadership teams.

Compensation & Benefits

• $42.00-$45.00 per hour, depending on experience

• Contract position

• Standard benefits package available

• Fully onsite in Overland Park, Kansas

• Monday-Friday schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and support daily HRIS operations, ensuring data accuracy and system integrity.

• Manage employee data, organizational changes, job records, and system updates.

• Generate and analyze HR reports, dashboards, and workforce metrics.

• Troubleshoot HRIS issues and partner with internal stakeholders to resolve system-related concerns.

• Support system implementations, upgrades, testing, and configuration changes.

• Assist with data audits and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

• Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Benefits, and Finance teams to improve system efficiency and processes.

• Create and maintain documentation, procedures, and training materials for end users.

• Identify opportunities for process automation and continuous improvement.

• Provide technical support and training related to HR systems and reporting tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

• 4+ years of experience working with HRIS platforms and human resources systems.

• Strong understanding of HR processes, employee data management, and reporting.

• Experience with system implementation, testing, and troubleshooting.

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and HR reporting tools.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting payroll, benefits, or talent management systems.

• Familiarity with data integrations and system optimization initiatives.

• Experience developing custom reports and dashboards.
