Our ideal candidate is someone who loves literature, values student voice, and believes in the power of words to inspire change. This teacher will engage students in reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking through meaningful, culturally relevant instruction that prepares them for success beyond the classroom.In this role, you'll design lessons that connect classic and contemporary texts to real-world experiences, guide students in developing strong communication skills, and create a classroom environment where curiosity and creativity thrive. A strong working knowledge of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Grades 9-12 is essential to ensure instruction aligns with state standards and student learning goals.
