9 Month Calendar - Employee will follow 9 month CLASSIFIED calendar Hourly wage and work year to be determined by the 501 Board of Education Works 7 hours per day in a production kitchen at Sheldon Head Start preschool Must attend and successfully complete Food Safety Basics class within the first six months of employment and at least once every 5 years
QUALIFICATION
• High School Diploma or GED • More advanced math skills including multiplication and division • Ability to read and write the English language • Demonstrate knowledge of food safety basics • Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally • Ability to stand up to 7 hours • Knowledge of portion sizes • Ability to work well with others
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To prepare and/or cook food in a kitchen, serve food to a cafeteria tray line, and perform cleaning activities. May assist in the effective overall operations of the Food and Nutrition Services Program at different kitchen locations as needed.
Preparation of food items Prepare food carts Distribute food carts to classrooms Serve food Clean and sanitize all food service areas and equipment Maintain and order supplies as needed Unloading and putting away stock Take and document temperatures Prepare for next day Wash dishes, pots, and pans as needed Other duties as assigned
