The Siren School District is a small, rural, 4K-12 school district, with approximately 350 students in beautiful Northwest Wisconsin. The district has very dedicated and supportive teachers and staff along with a supportive community, school board, and administration, who altogether make the Siren School District a great place to work. The district is a forward-thinking, progressive district that values small class sizes and cares deeply about its students and staff. It is an excellent place to live and raise a family.
Siren is looking for a full-time high school science teacher. The ideal candidate would hold a 2600 license with a chemistry major or minor as well as experience teaching physics. The classroom is newly remodeled and state of the art.
Candidates should have good classroom/student behavior management techniques, methods for building and maintaining relationships, the ability to create a positive learning environment, and a love of teaching. Wisconsin teaching licenses in Science are preferred but the district is willing to work with candidates to obtain the necessary certifications and licensure. Opportunities to coach or advise extra-curricular activities may also be available but are not required. Preference will be given to anyone having additional licensure or the willingness to obtain especially in math.
