We are currently seeking an HSE Manager in Dallas, TX to join our family. This role would be assigned to a $80-million-dollar project in Tyler, TX .Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ensure accident is properly documentedAssist in the investigation of accidents and unsafe working conditions, study possible causes and recommend remedial actionPlans, organizes, schedules and conducts continuous inspections of project, work areas and equipment, once a day conduct an additional Site Audit with a co-worker. Selects and implements corrective action and follows-up to ensure proper action has been taken. Identify items for improvement; implement changes by coordinating with appropriate individuals with respective subcontractor or supplier.Communicate frequently with Regional Safety Manager to report on the status of the occupational health and safety programWork with subcontractors, vendors and third-party personnel to ensure adherence to safety policies and proceduresAct as site and/or corporate contact for any federal, state or municipal safety or risk management authority and/or personnel, including but not limited to OSHA, when Regional Safety Manager is not availableDaily review with site Superintendent the safety and quality issues identifiedCoordinate emergency procedures and first aid crewsFollow-up with subcontractor representatives to ensure proper disciplinary procedures are followedServes as a principal source of information on health and safety issues to hold subcontractor accountable to submitted safety and quality programCommunicate with local authorities on local interests as required. No contact with news reporting entities is permitted.Attend and participate in daily KPI, weekly subcontractor and monthly Project/Safety Managers meetings and all pre-start/pre-install(s) with subcontractorsOrders safety materials and suppliesCarry out other assigned tasks given by the Project Manager/Project Executive and/or Regional Safety ManagerEnsure accident scene is preserved for investigationMaintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communication in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, coworkers and managementOperate, maintain, certify, inspect, calibrate and oversee installation of company's safety equipmentInstall bulletin boards and post warning signs for site hazards such as gas lines, traffic access.Post emergency numbers, implement safety procedures to achieve OSHA guidelines are followed, identify security issues and address (such as fences, barricades, lighting, alarms, public access, and watchman) and obtain appropriate signatures from subcontractors and suppliers.Monitors site conditions, practices, and procedures for compliance with environmental, health, safety and quality requirementsReview and update monthly all site specific safety plans with the project teamsAssist on the elaboration of STAs, attend one STA with subcontractor dailyRecords data and compiles data into reports for statistical analyses. Maintain and update quality and safety logs. Monitor and schedule maintenance of company's equipment and tools with material, equipment and tools coordinator and Regional Safety Manager.Prior to subcontractor mobilization, review all applicable documentation including Job Hazard Analysis, Pre Mobilization documentation, etc. for completeness to ensure the subcontractor can adequately execute their scope of work safely.Train corporate and site-based personnel on safety programs, policies and procedures, and workplace injury avoidance; provide appropriate documentation of training conducted/coordinated to human resources in a timely mannerAssist Regional Safety Manager to ensure compliance with corporate workers' compensation program and/or project Contractor Controlled Insurance Program, including working with internal personnel and third party administrators/legal counsel, to effectively investigate and resolve claims in an expeditious and cost effective manner.Communicate with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g. customers, suppliers, employees). Maintain relationship to ensure needs are met and problems/conflicts are resolved.Communicates and reinforces the Company vision, mission and valuesPreferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, construction safety management, construction management with an emphasis on safety and/or risk management or related degree from a four-year College or University and at least 1 year of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.At least seven (7) consecutive years that have been dedicated solely to building construction safety with at least five (5) years of building construction safety management experience. Any candidate that has completed a four (4) year degree in a construction safety discipline shall also be able show at least three (3) years of actual field experience in building construction safety to be considered for a PSC position.Successful achievement of a nationally recognized safety certification (CSP, CHST, etc.) may add up to an additional two (2) years of experience.The PSC shall also possess a certificate of completion for the OSHA 500 Trainer Course for Construction or OSHA 502 Update for the Construction Industry Outreach TrainersThe PSC must show evidence of specialized training with in-person demonstration of competency for Emergency First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) current to within the last two (2) yearsThey must also have a minimum of 4 hours of training and practical, demonstrable experience in the following exposures:All training and credentials noted above must been completed within the last 5 years#J-18808-Ljbffr
