About the Role
Key Responsibilities:Interpret and implement health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure regulatory compliance across site operationsIdentify and assess workplace risks, recommending effective control measures in collaboration with the HSE teamManage and analyze environmental, health, and safety data, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and communication of key metricsLead or support incident investigations, ensuring timely corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectivelyPartner cross-functionally to drive awareness, alignment, and continuous improvement on health, safety, and environmental prioritiesEssential Requirements:Bachelor's degree in industrial hygiene, health and safety, engineering, or related field, or a minimum of four additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degreeMinimum three years of experience in a health and safety role within a manufacturing environmentStrong working knowledge of United States regulations, including Environmental Protection Agency, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and Nuclear Regulatory CommissionExperience managing hazardous waste and supporting environmental, health, and safety compliance activitiesDesirable Requirements:Experience working in a cGMP manufacturing environmentPrior experience or training in radiation safetyThe salary for this position is expected to range between $89,600 and $166,400 per year. The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors. Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards. US-based eligible employees will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, life and disability benefits, a 401(k) with company contribution and match, and a variety of other benefits.
