Job Purpose
To maintain assigned areas in a clean, sanitary, safe, orderly, attractive manner in accordance with established procedures, and as directed in order to ensure the highest degree of cleanliness and sanitation is maintained at all times.
Qualifications and Skills
- GED or High School Graduation, preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of floor care experience preferred.
- The ability to follow/perform standard procedures to operate specific cleaning equipment including but not limited to buffers, strippers, vacuum cleaners, wet vacuum and extractor.
- May require working early morning and/or evening hours as well as weekends and holidays to ensure projects are completed to limit disruption to residents.
- Ability to read written documents, including but not limited to, Hazardous Material's labels, daily task sheets, and Material Safety Data Sheets.
- Possesses an empathetic approach to the elderly.
- Able to work in a team setting with residents, relatives, staff, and others.
