Position Summary:
Reef is seeking a HubSpot CRM and Marketing Automation Specialist to drive revenue growth by designing and operating end-to-end automated marketing programs. This role sits at the intersection of marketing, sales, and data - owning the lifecycle marketing strategy across email and SMS channels to support customer acquisition, conversion, engagement, and retention goals.
The ideal candidate has deep expertise in HubSpot Marketing Hub and CRM, a strong analytical mindset, and a track record of building scalable workflows, segmentation strategies, and personalization programs. You will partner closely with sales, digital, product, content, and analytics teams to design event-triggered messaging, optimize the lead lifecycle, and turn campaign performance data into measurable improvements in conversion and ROI.
Responsibilities:
Marketing Automation & Workflow Design
- Workflow automation: Develop and maintain complex HubSpot workflows - including email nurturing, lead scoring, internal task creation, and data updates - to automate marketing actions and reduce manual work.
- Lifecycle journey design: Design, build, and optimize automated lifecycle journeys (in HubSpot and platforms such as Twilio where applicable), including triggered messaging and multi-step Canvas-style workflows.
- Lifecycle flow ownership: Build and continuously optimize welcome journeys, abandoned enrollment flows, post-purchase onboarding, retention journeys, and reactivation campaigns.
- Event-triggered messaging: Partner with Digital and Product teams to define event-triggered messaging architecture supporting enrollment, onboarding, loyalty adoption, and retention.
CRM Data & Lead Management
- CRM data hygiene: Maintain, segment, and continually clean the HubSpot database to ensure accurate reporting and personalized targeting.
- Lead nurturing & handoff: Align with sales to streamline the lead lifecycle, ensuring seamless handoff, timely follow-up, and clear ownership across stages.
- Segmentation & personalization: Develop segmentation and personalization strategies that improve message relevance, deliverability, and performance across lifecycle programs.
Campaign Execution
- Email & campaign setup: Create, test, and deploy automated email campaigns, SMS programs, forms, and landing pages.
- Template development: Create and refine lifecycle messaging and modify email templates as needed to support speed and performance optimization.
- Calendar management: Maintain lifecycle campaign calendars aligned with global product launches, promotions, and enrollment initiatives.
- Deliverability: Support sender reputation and deliverability best practices across email and SMS programs.
Analytics, Testing & Optimization
- Performance analysis: Analyze lifecycle and campaign performance data to iterate, optimize, and translate insights into actionable strategies that improve ROI.
- A/B & multivariate testing: Develop and execute structured A/B and multivariate testing strategies across lifecycle messaging.
- KPI reporting: Monitor lifecycle KPIs and provide reporting and recommendations to stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and executive leadership.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Compliance
- Stakeholder partnership: Collaborate with design, content, analytics, digital, and regional teams to develop scalable lifecycle automation programs.
- Regulatory compliance: Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations including CAN-SPAM, GDPR (where applicable), and SMS consent requirements.
- Continuous learning: Stay current on lifecycle marketing, personalization strategy, and marketing automation platform capabilities to continuously improve performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or similar field is required
- 3-4+ years in marketing automation, marketing operations, or lifecycle marketing roles, with a track record of owning automated programs end-to-end.
- Expert-level knowledge of HubSpot Marketing Hub (Professional or Enterprise) and HubSpot CRM, including workflows, lead scoring, lists, and reporting.
- HubSpot Marketing Software Certification, HubSpot Marketing Automation Certification, or HubSpot Inbound Certification are preferred
- Deep understanding of inbound marketing principles, customer journey mapping, and lifecycle/life stage management.
- Proficiency in analyzing campaigns and funnel data to drive decisions and optimize performance; comfort with dashboards, attribution, and conversion metrics.
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for email customization, data privacy regulations (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, SMS consent), and CRM/marketing-stack integrations.
- Hands-on experience designing and executing A/B and multivariate tests, and translating results into iterative improvements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across marketing, sales, product, design, and analytics teams.
- Experience with Braze, Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or comparable enterprise marketing automation platforms is preferred
