The Human Resource Advisor provides comprehensive human resources consulting and advisory services to a diverse client base. Acting as an extension of each client's leadership team, this position partners with clients to deliver strategic and operational HR solutions related to recruitment, employee relations, compensation, compliance, policy development, organizational effectiveness, training and workforce planning. The HR Advisor assesses client needs, develops customized HR solutions, manages multiple projects simultaneously and provides expert guidance to support informed business decisions. Success in this role requires exceptional communication, problem-solving and relationship-building skills, along with the ability to build trusted client partnerships and deliver high-quality HR consulting services. The HR Advisor may provide guidance and mentorship to junior HR professionals and may supervise a small team of support staff.

Total Rewards
  • Onsite, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, flexible work schedule may be requested after 90 days of successful employment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • BA/BS from accredited university with coursework in human resources, business management or related field.
  • 7 - 10 years HR Generalist experience or focused functional experience in employee relations, benefit administration and analytics.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP or ability to pass certification within six (6) months (examination reimbursement available pending certification).
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • High level of attention to detail and the ability to produce clear, accurate and professional written communications.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and background check is required.
Typical Duties
  • Plans, develops, evaluates, improves and communicates methods and techniques for selecting, promoting, compensating, evaluating and training client’s workforce.
  • Analyzes training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs; may present training materials related to employment law and/or client policies.
  • Develops and implements client recruiting strategies to meet current or anticipated staffing needs.
  • Evaluates client job positions; determining classification, FLSA status, EEO, salary, working conditions and physical requirements.
  • Contacts job applicants to inform them of the status of their applications, conducts reference or background checks as required and informs job applicants of details such as duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions or promotion opportunities.
  • Investigates employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints or other employee concerns with affected clients and makes recommendations for resolution.
  • Observes, interviews and surveys customers and conducts focus group meetings to collect job, organizational and occupational information.
  • Drafts and develops policy; uses multimedia visual aids and other informational materials; presents information and provides explanation of learning objectives.
  • Interprets and explains human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and regulations.
  • Documents findings of studies and prepares recommendations for implementation of new systems, procedures or organizational changes.
  • Prepares reports, such as organization and flow charts, and career path reports, to summarize job analysis and evaluation and compensation analysis information.
  • Assists and provides problem resolution guidance to junior human resource professionals on matters related to recruitment, performance management, compensation, job descriptions and employee relations, as requested.
  • Analyzes employment-related data and prepares required reports.
  • Performs other duties, tasks and special projects as assigned.
