By joining the DHR team, you would serve as a trusted Human Resource Business Partner II, providing integrated and innovative human resources solutions for the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD). This classified position will operate under the guidance of DHR leadership and will be located at the Idaho Transportation Department in Boise, Idaho.

Summary:

Performs a full range of professional human resource services in leave administration, medical accommodations, classification, compensation, recruitment, training, policy and procedure, employee relations and performance management. This position may provide support to multiple agencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing human resource consultation and services to applicants, staff and managers in more than one area of functional specialization, such as leave administration, medical accommodations, recruitment, benefits, compensation, classification, employee relations, etc.
  • Consulting with supervisors/managers on performance management
  • Advising on career and succession planning, organization and job design
  • Contributing to employee engagement and retention tactics
  • Monitoring and evaluates compliance with applicable laws, rules, policies, and procedures
  • Participating in complaint inquiries, investigations and resolutions
  • May process payroll and perform related functions

Minimum Qualifications:

Good knowledge of:

  • Human resource administration
  • Equal employment opportunity and legal requirements

Experience:

  • Interpreting, explaining, applying laws, regulations, and policies
  • Researching and preparing reports and recommendations
  • Conducting in-depth interviews

Desired Qualifications:

Some knowledge of:

  • Employee benefits program administration
  • Training methods

Experience:

  • Gathering and analyzing data and developing reports based on the information
  • Providing training
  • Working with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
