Position Summary

As part of our HR team, you will be responsible for employee support, HR systems administration, onboarding, investigations, and compliance activities. You will serve as a key point of contact for employee inquiries and work closely with HR leadership and labor relations to ensure efficient HR service delivery and a positive employee experience across a multi-shift workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Employee Support & HR Operations: Address employee inquiries, support engagement initiatives, and manage HR communications.
  • HR Systems & Administration: Maintain HR systems, support Workforce Software, and ensure compliance with I-9 processes.
  • Employee Lifecycle Support: Coordinate onboarding, process employment changes, and support leave of absence administration.
  • Employee Relations & Compliance: Assist with investigations, unemployment hearings, and compliance-related activities.
  • Additional Support: Participate in engagement surveys, provide backup support, and contribute to process improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum 1.5 years of HR experience
  • Experience with HR systems (Workday preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of basic employment law and HR practices

Preferences

  • Experience in a manufacturing or union/bargaining unit environment
  • Exposure to timekeeping/payroll systems (Workforce Software a plus)
  • Experience supporting employee relations and investigations

This is an onsite role based in Dundee, MI. Primarily first shift with flexibility to support off shifts as needed. Occasional weekend support may be required.
