Job Description

The Human Resources Generalist partners with operations to support labor relations and human resources initiatives.

 

Job-Specific Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting activities, including onboarding of new employees and processing employee changes. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, data entry, E‑Verify administration, personnel file creation, and other related transactions.
  • Respond to labor relations and human resources inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements; escalate complex issues to appropriate management or HR leadership.
  • Coordinate and maintain HR information to ensure 100% data integrity within HRIS systems.
  • Act as a key business partner and trusted advisor to internal customers. 
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for employee complaints and grievances, including providing support related to benefits, payroll, attendance and company policies.
  • Conduct employee interviews and gather information related to employee relations matters such as harassment allegations, workplace complaints, or other concerns; notify the HR Manager when further investigation is required.
  • Partner with Labor Relations and the HR Manager to support surveys, interviews, data collection, and research related to HR policies, compensation programs, and labor negotiations.
  • Assist in the preparation of plans, policies, and documentation, including affirmative action plans, contract negotiations, and meetings with employee and labor organizations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional HR business partner experience within a manufacturing environment; labor relations experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated customer-focused mindset.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with and influence leaders.
