Job Summary
 


EIG Services LLC
is seeking a dynamic HR Generalist to join our HR department. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide on-site administrative support to the HR department, including answering employee and candidate inquiries, record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entry. The HR Generalist position is a full-time salary and reports directly to the HR Manager.

The HR Generalist manages daily human resources operations and ensures smooth administrative execution across the employee lifecycle. This role acts as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries, administers company policies, and ensures strict compliance with federal laws and Pennsylvania labor regulations, including the PA Wage Payment and Collection Law (WPCL) and the PA Human Relations Act (PHRA). 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 


Administrative Support & Data Integrity
 

  • Perform accurate and timely data entry into the company’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS) for new hires, status changes, and separations. 
  • Maintain, audit, and organize physical and digital employee personnel files securely to remain in strict compliance with healthcare provider standards and state audits. 
  • Act as the welcoming, professional face of the HR department for on-site visitors, staff, and incoming candidates. 
  • Serve as the frontline responder for routine employee questions regarding agency policies, benefits, and payroll timelines. 

️ State & Industry Compliance
 

  • Monitor and enforce organizational compliance with Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry standards. 
  • Facilitate employee record reviews in accordance with the PA Personnel File Inspection Act. 
  • Assist in maintaining workforce data required to uphold strict healthcare compliance standards, ensuring proper background checks (such as PA Criminal History, Child Abuse clearances, and FBI fingerprinting) are tracked. 
  • Help pull documentation for workers' compensation processing and PA Unemployment Compensation (UC) inquiries. 

Staffing, Onboarding & Development
 

  • Assist with recruitment pipelines, including posting open positions (e.g., Direct Support Professionals or Program Coordinators), reviewing incoming applications, and setting up interview schedules. 
  • Guide new hires through the complete on-site onboarding process, managing tax forms, Direct Deposit authorizations, and federal Form I-9 verification. 
  • Provide administrative backup for agency benefit programs, tracking enrollment milestones and supporting the HR Manager during open enrollment cycles. 

Required Qualifications & Skills
 

  • Experience: 3–5 years of progressive human resources, administrative support, or office coordination experience (prior experience in a human services, healthcare, or non-profit setting is highly preferred). 
  • Technical Skills: High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and physical or cloud-based file management systems. Hands-on experience navigating HRIS or payroll systems is preferred. 
  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to manage sensitive, highly confidential employee matters with total diplomacy, empathy, and professionalism. 
  • Organization: Strong multi-tasking skills and attention to detail necessary for high-volume file accuracy. 

Preferred Qualifications
 

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Any possible Law experience or familiarity such as (Pennsylvania State Laws) or EEOC related field.
  • Active engagement or familiarity with regional HR platforms, such as the Pittsburgh Human Resources Association (PHRA). 
Compensation: $55,000.00 per year
