Human Resources Specialist- Human Resources-Orlando
Job Summary
The Human Resources Specialist serves as a key contributor to the Human Resources department, providing broad-based HR support across multiple functional areas including benefits administration, leave management, recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, training coordination, and compliance. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager and partnering closely with the Human Resources Generalist, this role also supports the Chief Human Resources Officer in advancing the department's strategic and operational priorities.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida is a member of Feeding America - the largest charitable domestic
hunger-relief organization in the United States. Second Harvest Food Bank secures and distributes food and grocery
products to more than 800 feeding partners throughout Central Florida. With the help of food and financial
donors, volunteers and a caring, committed community, the food bank distributes 300,000 meals every day to a seven-county
service area, which includes Brevard, Lake, Marion, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia. Feeding neighbors
facing hunger is only the beginning. By investing in job training programs, advocating for access to nutritious foods, and

Department Overview
Second Harvest Food Bank's Human Resources Department supports the needs of employees and managers. We are responsible for Recruitment, Learning and Development, Compensation, Benefits, Labor and Compliance, Employee Wellness, Culture/Employee Engagement, Safety, Employee Relations, and Performance Management. We collaborate with all departments throughout the organization to address all of their unique employee and manager needs. Our goal is to make sure that employees within the organization have a safe and welcoming environment in which to work, learn, develop, and grow, all while driving and delivering the business needs of the organization.
Travel Requirements
Ability to travel as needed within the seven-county service area
Work Hours
Monday - Friday, 8:30 A.M. - 5:00 P.M., Business, hours some flexibility needed
