Human Resource Sr. Director/ VP

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct all Human Resources functions for a multi-site organization employing over 500 hourly employees, ensuring consistent HR practices, compliance standards, and employee experience across all locations.
  • Establish and maintain standardized HR processes and procedures across sites, improving operational consistency, workforce management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Own organizational structure management, maintaining corporate organizational charts and supporting workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational design initiatives.
  • Manage the development, review, and maintenance of all job descriptions, ensuring alignment with business needs, compensation structures, and compliance requirements through SharePoint governance.
  • Administer company-wide offer letter, employment agreement, and NDA processes, creating standardized templates and controls to ensure consistency and legal compliance.
  • Lead annual HR compliance audits, including I-9 verification, certifications, personnel files, and employment documentation, maintaining audit readiness and reducing organizational risk.
  • Monitor federal, state, and local employment law changes, updating employee handbooks and HR policies to ensure ongoing compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures supporting workforce growth, operational excellence, and risk mitigation.
  • Design and enhance employee benefits programs, partnering with brokers and leadership to improve competitiveness, employee satisfaction, and cost effectiveness.
  • Lead organization-wide benefits communication and enrollment initiatives, achieving high participation rates and improving employee understanding of available programs.
  • Partner with executive leadership to design bonus and incentive programs, establish KPIs, and align performance measures with organizational goals.
  • Manage complex employee relations matters involving supervisors, managers, and salaried employees, conducting investigations, resolving workplace concerns, and ensuring consistent policy application.
  • Direct involuntary termination processes, ensuring compliance with company policy and employment regulations while minimizing legal exposure.
  • Conduct initial screening and assessment of salaried candidates, partnering with hiring managers to identify top talent for leadership and critical business positions.
  • Spearhead employee experience initiatives across all sites, focusing on engagement, retention, communication, recognition, and workplace culture.
  • Provide strategic HR counsel to executive leadership on workforce planning, labor challenges, employee relations, compliance, and organizational effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including 3–5 years in a leadership or director-level role.
  • Proven experience supporting multi-site operations and a workforce of 500+ employees.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, COBRA, and I-9 compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations, investigations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Experience developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
  • Strong background in benefits administration, vendor management, and employee wellness programs.
  • Experience designing and administering compensation, bonus, and incentive programs.
  • Proven ability to lead compliance audits and maintain audit-ready personnel records.
  • Experience managing organizational structures, job descriptions, and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and document management platforms such as SharePoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and partner with leaders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
