Compensation Range:

Position Summary:

Hiring Salary Range: $48,722.98 to $53,595.27 depending on qualifications.

Job Description:

Performs a variety of analytical, confidential, administrative, professional level work for human resources services and programs in the compensation area.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides technical assistance in all phases of human resources compensation administration in compliance with established policies and procedures to include wage and salary compliance, processing of supplemental activity contracts, faculty overload payments, etc.

  • Conducts compensation studies and participates in salary surveys.

  • Reviews and analyzes job descriptions to ensure proper classification and alignment with compensation practices.

  • Evaluates new and existing positions for appropriate job classification.

  • Supports annual compensation processes.

  • Assists with compensation-related audits and data requests.

  • Participates in HR projects, process improvements, and strategic initiatives.

  • Provides excellent customer service and guidance to employees and supervisors regarding compensation practices and procedures.

Working Conditions

Work is generally performed in a standard office environment with frequent use of computers and standard office equipment. Occasional travel between campus locations or attendance at meetings and training sessions may be required.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • At least three (3) years of relevant experience

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience working with HRIS systems (Preferably Workday)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
