Work for the IMF. Work for the World.

Under the general supervision of the Deputy Division Chief for HR Operations (HROPS) and the Team Lead for PeopleSoft Operations and Dual Systems Administration, the Human Resources Information Systems Analyst supports Dual Data Entry (DDE) operations to ensure alignment and synchronization between PeopleSoft and Workday.

The role focuses on the accurate dual entry of employee personal and HR data, reconciliation activities, and support for Dual System Process (DSP) integrations. In addition, the incumbent contributes to broader PeopleSoft Operations, including transaction processing, end-user support, system monitoring, and testing.

The role is critical to maintaining the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of HR data in a high-volume environment, with a strong emphasis on quality control and adherence to established processes and system standards. It requires close coordination with the Team Lead and collaboration with other data entry analysts.

Daily responsibilities include monitoring automated integration reports and dashboards, identifying and troubleshooting errors, and working closely with business owners to resolve issues. This position requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to think analytically.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

1. Dual Data Entry & Integration Monitoring (Primary Focus)

  • Perform dual data entry of HR transactions across PeopleSoft and Workday to ensure system alignment.

  • Monitor daily integration reports and dashboards to identify failed or incomplete transactions.

  • Apply job architecture mappings and perform manual corrections to resolve integration errors.

  • Extract and transform data from source systems and manually input into target systems where automation is not available.

  • Track and report recurring integration issues, exceptions, and mapping gaps.

  • Ensure all transactions are completed in accordance with established procedures, controls, and service standards.

2. Data Validation, Quality Assurance & Reconciliation

  • Conduct daily reconciliation and quality checks to confirm data accuracy and completeness.

  • Validate source documentation for completeness, consistency and compliance with HR policies.

  • Identify discrepancies or data anomalies and take corrective action or escalate as needed.

  • Maintain logs and prepare reports on error trends, exceptions, and operational risks.

3. Collaboration, Issue Resolution & User Support

  • Coordinate with HR business units and stakeholders to clarify incomplete or inconsistent data.

  • Respond to system-related queries and troubleshoot routine issues.

  • Escalate complex or systemic issues to the Team Lead.

  • Provide guidance to end users on standard HR systems processes and procedures.

4. Systems Support, Testing & Documentation

  • Support testing, validation, and deployment of system enhancements, integrations and fixes.

  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) activities and provide feedback on system performance.

  • Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), job aids, and knowledge articles.

  • Contribute to documentation of DDE processes, controls, and workflows.

5. Continuous Improvement & Controls Compliance

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and automation.

  • Highlight recurring issues, bottlenecks, or manual workarounds and recommend improvements.

  • Ensure adherence to data security, confidentiality, and segregation of duties requirements.

  • Use approved tools, including AI-enabled tools, responsibly and validate outputs.

Qualifications

  • Completion of secondary education with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in HR operations, data entry, or HR systems support.

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field is an advantage.

Specialized Skills/Knowledge

  • Candidate must possess problem-solving skills with attention to detail; strive for continuous improvement; aptitude for learning; and demonstrated ability to manage high-volume data entry accurately.

  • Working knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM and/or Workday; familiarity with dual-system environments is highly desirable.

  • Experience with data reconciliation, reporting, and Excel-based analysis (e.g., formulas, pivot tables).

  • Ability to interpret integration reports, dashboards, and system outputs.

  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems is an asset.

Only candidates who are currently residing in the Washington DC metro area will be considered.

This is a one-year contractual appointment. Contractual appointments at the IMF are renewable for up to four years of cumulative contractual service, pending incumbent's performance, budget availability, and continuous business need.
